CFSSP Record Breaking Annual Celebration of Education!
The Connestee Falls Student Scholarship Program held its Annual Gala to celebrate the life-changing generosity of its donors, its 39 year history of raising money for local students to attend college and to hear from some of the recipients as they express their gratitude for the chance to chase their dreams.
Five of the 57 students who received Connestee Falls' scholarships for 2026-2027 spoke to the record breaking crowd of 257 attendees. Blue Ridge Community College's Elora Whitmire, Kacey White, Brevard College's Gracie Gillespie, Brevard High School graduate Sophia Miguel and CFPOA Employee Scholarship winner Nick Owen delighted the crowd with their heartfelt expressions of gratitude.
The Silent Auction which accompanied the Gala was also a record breaking fundraising effort with almost $30,000 raised, doubling the amount raised in 2025. John Margold, chair of the auction, and Laurie Davis who staged the donations with her artistic expertise, created an experience which was beautiful and filled with art and experiences such as restaurants, a Dr. Benton flight over Transylvania County, a seaside 3 night stay, countless beauty treatments and gorgeous, unique woodworking jewels. CFSSP is so very fortunate to have such talented donors. Many, many thanks!!!
