The CF Student Scholarship Program congratulates Connestee Falls employees Nick Owen and Jackson Guinn, each awarded an $5,000 scholarship to further their career goals.
Nick graduated from Rosman High School and began working for Connestee Falls in March 2023 in golf operations, cleaning carts and assisting golfers with club cleaning and bag storage. He advanced to the golf shop two years ago and began checking in golfers, answering phones and stocking the shop. With the help of Connestee Falls residents, Nick’s dream of becoming a barber and owning his own business is coming true: he will begin his training at Oxford Barber Company this fall and has secured an internship.
Jackson began working for Connestee Falls in June 2025 in the golf cart operation, assisting golfers with cleaning clubs and bag storage. His dream of getting a degree in Professional Golf Management will begin this fall with a program at Campbell University. Jackson already has a good start with a 5 handicap!
The funds will be paid directly to the schools that each will attend. The CFPOA Employee Scholarship Committee, consisting of Board members Tom Shook and Debra Izard as well as CF General Manager Nathan Freeland, conducted interviews and recommended final selections. The CFSSP Board wishes to thank C.A.T.S. for donating $1,000 to these scholarships and all CF residents for your generous support in helping our CFPOA employees fulfill their ambitions. We wish Nick and Jackson all the success in the world!
