Connestee Falls' Newbies Raise Money with Bee Bazaar
The Newbies Board wishes to thank all those who participated in our second annual Bee Bazaar, a fundraiser for the CF Student Scholarship Program. Twenty tables were sold to vendors at $25 each, which was donated directly to CFSSP. Additionally, the vendors pledged 25% of their proceeds to the program. This year, Newbies had 4 tables provided by the Quilters Club, the CFSSP Board, and Newbies- with items donated by the community. These tables gave 100% of the sales to the CFSSP!!
There was a raffle table featuring CF authors, all of whom donated and signed their fabulous books, as well as quilted items from the Quilt club members. Also new this year was a silent auction featuring items donated by SAFE, quilters, and members of the community.
The Kids Club sold baked goods and music was provided by our own Allena Harbeck, a Newbies Board member. At the end of the event, Salley Steppe, executive director of SAFE, and her staff were on hand to haul away unsold items for the SAFE ATTIC thrift store.
Newbies wishes to thank all those who made this wonderful event possible. The CF crew who set us up, the vendors, the many generous folks who donated time and treasure, the Newbies Bee Hive, and of course the community who turned out to support us!! Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we were thrilled to raise over $3200.00 for the CFSSP!!!!
THANK YOU CONNESTEE FALLS!!!
