Unprecedented $153,000 Awarded to 25 Transylvania County High School Graduates

On May 21st, 2026, at the 43rd Annual Awards Night for Transylvania County Schools, the Connestee Falls Student Scholarship Program awarded $153,000 to 25 students who distinguished themselves among their teachers and peers with their grades, extra-curricular activities and their community involvement. As Board member Debra Izard announced the total amount, there was a collective "wow" from the packed auditorium at Brevard High School!
In CFSSP's 39th year, there was another first. The CFSSP awarded three students with a $10,000 a year scholarship for 4 years of college if the student remains in school in good standing. In 2025, the Program raised over $260,000 which is a direct reflection of the generous heart within this community. From the personal generosity of resident donors to the steadfast commitment of local business sponsors, these funds give flight to dreams, open doors and change lives. Thanks to all of our donors!
